Overview
A perfect log cabin set in gardens next to the woods, Wood Lodge has direct access to the 180-mile Tarka Cycle Trail, with storage for bikes if you are feeling energetic, or a six-person hot tub and all-weather BBQ for when you want to relax.
Five minutes from Bideford with great access, yet in beautiful woodland, the lodge has everything you need to get away from it all while still being able to explore North Devon.
The Space
Wood Lodge is a sustainably built wooden lodge with modern heat-pump heating and a wood burner, along with a modern kitchen, dining room, lounge, new bathrooms and furnishings.
The lodge consists of three bedrooms, bathrooms, a lounge, conservatory, kitchen, utility room and adjoining dining room, all in an open garden setting with large windows and outlooks over the valley below through the woodlands.
The kitchen is well equipped for a break away, including a large induction hob, oven, microwave, coffee machine and the comforts of home. The utility room includes a large fridge freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer for muddier days.
Guest access, pets and children
You have the entire space to yourself, with your own entrance and parking directly from the road. The garden is enclosed with pet-safe and child-safe fencing, making it a practical setup for dogs, children, hot tub use, play equipment, BBQ space and cycle storage.
The conservatory and dog flap are especially useful for wet dogs and muddy boots, and they also make it easier to keep dogs, children and outdoor clutter contained before everyone comes back into the main living space.
We do ask that dogs are kept off the furniture.

Location
Wood Lodge is in the tiny hamlet of Landcross, less than two miles from Bideford, with excellent access to beaches and surrounding attractions.
The gardens are properly dog safe, from Chihuahua to German shepherd, and also child-friendly with play equipment and grassed areas beside the covered BBQ area and hot tub.
It is a small slice of Devon to yourself: woodland feel, fast internet, nearby shopping, and wide sandy beaches only minutes away by bicycle along the Tarka Trail.
Things to note
There is an additional charge to run the hot tub, currently GBP 10 per day, to cover electricity use. Please mention the hot tub when booking so it can be clean and up to temperature when you arrive.
EV car charging is available on a mini solar array in a locked car park next to the property.
